Stuck in the Middle with Poo

On 8th Ave between Union and President there is a building where the residents put out some nice planters.  You can tell from the Google Street View below that the owners try to keep their building looking good.

However, it looks like the local dog owners let their pets use those planters as pee targets.

You can see from an earlier post that the rest of the sidewalk is often covered with poop.
